About Boyle County, KY - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Boyle County is located in the Bluegrass Area of central Kentucky. It was formed from Lincoln and Mercer Counties. Established in 1842, Boyle County is named after the renowned Judge John Boyle who served as a U.S. District Judge for Kentucky, Congressman and State Representative and Chief Justice of the Kentucky Court of Appeals. While the courthouse and its exciting history have not died in the hearts of the locals, a courthouse fire in 1860 resulted in damage to many of the county’s records. It has about 25,000 residents. The rich local history, stunning natural wonder in the area, and the friendly and warm people are not all that this area has to offer. The weather is also a draw for those who love to watch the seasons change.
7407 men lost their lives at Battle of Perryville, which took place in Boyle County on October 8, 1862. This battle was fought between the Confederate Army of Mississippi and the Union Army of the Ohio. On that autumn day, as beautifully colorful leaves fell, so did many men. This area has a very deep connection to the Revolutionary War, as well as the Civil War and the locals care deeply about their history. Many beautiful historic buildings have been restored and the area residents take great pride in their long and fascinating history.
Nearby Casey County is home to 'Casey County Apple Festival’ which is a 40 year annual tradition, held each September for decades. It is so fun, in fact, that in 2010, it was named "Best Festival in Kentucky." Each autumn, the town of Liberty turns into a practical carnival ground with tasty foods, music and dancing, fun and fellowship. There are also lots of rides for the little ones. The cool autumn weather in Kentucky in the fall provides the perfect environment for a lovely weekend of eating, drinking and enjoying family.
